The lowering chutes for rolls are used to change the level between the roll infeed and outfeed points.

Accumulation of product on the chute is possible, it obviously depends on the position of the unit along the line and with respect to other machines.

Essentially the machine does not need its own space, but as for the elevators, it is advisable to leave a free space upstream and downstream. This space should be at least equal to the length of the sum of the products that the upstream machine sends into the line during a stop in phase.

The chute, together with an elevator (see figure), may be used to create a passage way for persons and vehicles beneath the roll conveyor line. The chutes may have 1,2,3,4, lanes.

The difference in height must be between 2 and 4 metres.
Adjustment of the chutes is manual and takes place from a single point.
The chutes can be “S” or “C”-shaped.
